Our story

GŪD Coffee began in the heart of Downtown Valdosta in January 2020 with a simple belief: good coffee has the power to bring people together.

What started at 120 N. Patterson Street quickly became something bigger than a coffee shop. As GŪD grew, so did the community around it, leading us to our current home at 133 N. Patterson Street in 2022.

Coming from the Swedish word for God, which also means good people and tasty foods, it reflects the foundation on which we were built. At the heart of everything we do are these core values: Excellence, Honor, and Community. We believe excellence is found in the details, honor is shown through the way we serve others, and community is what makes a place truly meaningful.

Today, GŪD is more than coffee. It is a place to gather, connect, slow down, and enjoy something thoughtfully made. All of our syrups are homemade, as are each of our sweet pastries. We’re proud to be part of Downtown Valdosta and even prouder of the people who have made GŪD what it is today.
